Tue - May 14, '18 rained hard all day. went to the hospital and got a piece of steel out of my leg that has been in there for four years. fatigue a while this morning. confined to quarters all afternoon. Wed - May 15, 1918 rained all day. on K.P. work quite hard scrubbing everything in the kitchen getting ready for an inspection by an inspector general from Wash. D.C. |
Thu - May 16, '18 fatigue today. still it rains. got a letter from B_. and answered it. took K. P. for a little while for one of the boys. wash clothes & go to bed. Fri - May 17, '18 exercises, and general police duty all day. pressed my clothes, and get ready to go to Portland still it rains. got a letter from mother and sis. read awhile & go to bed early. |
